Beat Meet 2021

Beat Meet is a competition to find the Metaverse’s Hottest Music Producers. No matter what technology you use to create, we open the door to anyone bold enough to enter. After the success of our first Beat Meet battle in 2008, we are excited to be incorporating new technology, like Audio NFTs, to our platform and to open up to producers from around the world! We begin with an ‘Open Audition’ where participants will use Audius to host their submissions to enter the competition and complete an Submission Form linking their entries and personal details. During the audition phase our internal team will determine which 8 producers will move on to our Battle Event. All entries will be included in an Audius Playlist hosted by TYGS.

8th June 2021 – Call for Submissions
21st June 2021 – Submission Deadline (Extended)
23rd June 2021 – Top 8 Announcement
2nd July 2021 – Battle Event (NEW DATE)

Prizes

1st Place – 75 NEAR + 25,000 $TYGS
2nd Place – 50 NEAR + 15,000 $TYGS
3rd Place * – 25 NEAR + 10,000 $TYGS

The Top 8 will have their beats minted as NFTs in the TYGS Store after the Battle Event and will be available for purchase by the general public.

* 3rd Place will be determined by the attendees of the Battle Event via the guestbook and can be viewed as a ‘People’s Choice’ award.

Rules & Regulations

  • Submission Form must be completed IN FULL to be eligible
  • 1 Beat Entry per Artist will be considered
  • All entries must use Royalty Free samples (or be creative)
  • Any genre or style is eligible

Submission Guidelines

Please be sure to follow the submission guidelines for your entry to be considered.

  • Make your beat and keep the duration between 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Get an Audius Account, upload your entry and tag #tygsbeatmeet. (Only 1 Beat per submission)
  • Fill out the submission form and link your entry
  • Tweet it out and tag @OfficialTygs #tygsofficial #tygsbeatmeet #daorecords
